About the Wedding Ring Project

We are excited to announce a very special way to contribute to our work… our unique Wedding Ring Project!

Founder Patricia Melnice experienced a marvelous catharsis after she repurposed her wedding ring from her past marriage to help build a home in South Africa for her Zulu friend’s family and eleven orphans. From that one simple decision, so many lives have changed for the better. You too can be part of this effort to help women and children of rape find solace and safety.

You likely have jewelry that is broken or missing parts. Perhaps you have a single earring in the back of your jewelry box no longer useful. You may have wedding rings from past relationships or other jewelry you no longer need. Those items can help make a difference.

Through a unique arrangement, The Wedding Ring Project can receive full refinery price for your donations. Jewelers will only give you a fraction of recycled value for items taken there. But The Wedding Ring Project can make your donations worth full value and therefore go farther to help our cause.

Please send any jewelry that you would like to donate, including rings, chains, earrings, pendants, and broken or forgotten jewelry items of 10, 14, or 18K, white, yellow gold, platinum or silver. Even the smallest item is of value to us and is much appreciated!

Please send your donation to:
